The Wedding

The ceremony and venue will be held in a private beach resort in Batangas. Both venues are under cover with air conditioning so please don’t worry about the heat. There are plenty of outdoor spots for photos and socialising.

We have a limited number of rooms available to us as part of the wedding package which people can book through us if they wish.

Those who are feeling more adventurous can stay in accommodation nearby or book an airbnb if family are staying together. Again we will help you find accommodation that works for you.

Flights

Those looking to fly to the Philippines should be heading for the Ninoy Aquino Airport in Manila. Travel time, door to door from the UK is 24 hours so please travel early enough to be recovered before the wedding on the 28th.

A typical flight from Manchester, stopping in Dubai can cost anywhere from £600 with a comfortable 2 – 3 hour stop over in Dubai. I’ve found going direct to Emirates is a good choice.

Transport from the airport to your stop over is limited, so Ashley will support you with taxis or will pick you up.

Travel

Driving in the Philippines can be quite daunting, so we recommend taxis or getting Ashley to help you travel.

“Grab” is a taxi hailing service like Uber that is widely available and considerably cheaper than other means of transport here.

For the wedding we will be arranging one transport from somewhere central in Manila – once we know where everyone is staying, as the wedding venue is around 2 hours south from Manila (Map).

For those that do want to drive when here (cars or motorbikes), you can drive on a UK license for 90 days without the need for an international license.

Accommodation

Outside of the wedding we can help arrange accommodation nearer to the city or you may wish to travel around the Philippines depending on how long you’re staying for. We know several mini resorts that we can look to book should everyone want to stay close together.

Alternatively people may wish to travel back to Makati or BGC which are modern cities
